For Patients

Glomerular disease is the third leading cause of kidney failure in the U.S. and commonly recurs following kidney transplant surgery, shortening the life of the new kidney. There are many important questions to be answered for patients with glomerular disease recurrence.

  • Why do certain treatments work for some patients with glomerular disease recurrence after transplant, but not for others?
  • Are there any gene mutations that make patients more susceptible to glomerular disease recurrence after transplant?
  • Are there any novel biomarkers in the blood that can be used to detect disease activity and monitor treatment response?

By participating in our study, you allow us to find these answers, that could help you and your physician make better decisions about your health.

Any transplant patient diagnosed with glomerular disease, or those currently on the kidney transplant waitlist and based in the United States, can join our study by voluntarily donating samples and health information.
